Community guidelines
This community exists so nobody has to carry this alone. These are the six things we ask of everyone.
1.Protect each other's privacy
Never share another member's name, location, facility, case details, photos or messages outside the community.
2.Share your story, not someone else's
Your loved one has not consented to being discussed publicly. Speak from your own experience.
3.No advice you are not qualified to give
Do not present yourself as a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial adviser, and do not tell someone to stop treatment or ignore legal counsel.
4.No money, no selling
Do not solicit funds, sell services, run fundraisers or exchange payment details. This platform handles no money at all.
5.Keep it safe for children
Many members are parents and teens. No graphic violence, sexual content, or targeted cruelty.
6.Disagree without harm
Different families cope differently. Challenge ideas, never people.
Reporting and moderation
Any member can report a post or comment. Reports go to administrators, who can hide or remove content and follow up with the people involved. Moderators can read community posts and comments. They cannot read private journals.
Emergencies
The community is not monitored around the clock and is not a crisis service. If someone is in danger, contact local emergency services.
